The new extension had to graft on seamlessly to the main house at all levels so that it would appear as original work and look like it had come from the golden age of English Country Houses. The design involved an almost mirrored South wing and a linking central section which had the Stone Porch, Hallway, Staircase and Landing as the centre-piece making the entrance a real event. |
