Conversion/refurbishment of Existing Listed Grade II Listed Building for the Assessment of Autistic Children aged 4-18 years, with Assessment, Observation and Consulting Rooms with audio visual recording systems; full support facilities including offices, training facilities, conference and tele-medicine rooms. Separate Sleep Disorder Unit for Children. Full architectural service included designing bespoke furniture throughout, including fibreglass play pod and curved wall, reception desk, and ICT computer desks.
To ensure that the build would be seen as a sustainable existing development the design incorporated efficient use of the existing fabric, improved thermal envelope (including dry-lining thoughout and double-glazed secondary glazing), mechanical ventilation including heat recovery and energy saving lighting systems.
