Description: The completed extension is located between the existing Filton Avenue School and Lockleaze Road. Reaching out to the local community is very important to the school and the Community Room and Community Meeting Rooms have taken prominence in the plans, not only in scale but also in visibility from Lockleaze Road. The extension also makes a re-arrangement of the internal layout possible. The Head’s Office and the Reception Office are re-located close to the new entrance.

Description: This project included the office fit-out of a building shell and two new extensions. A new entrance extension to the West is visible from Norton Way and is a more generous and inviting entrance than currently exists. This entrance is designed for Airbus’s customers and visitors to use and will be constructed in high quality materials and houses a glass lift and a reception desk. Access will be through a revolving door. The second entrance extension to the East allows the addition of some staff amenities; two showers for cyclists on the ground floor and a kitchen/ dining area on the first floor. The materials chosen are precision-made manufactured materials, which is in contrast to the existing reconstituted stone elevations. The materials were chosen as they are representative of a technology-led company.

Description: Studio LIME are providing laboratory planning services to RSP, Dubai for this prestigious project. The project includes a new 20,000 sqm College of Engineering and a new 25,000 sqm College of Medicine & Health Sciences. The specialist consultancy provided has included the initial master-planning, concept design and currently schematic design. Departments planned for include: Centre for Medical Simulation & Training, Anatomy & Teaching Labs, Learning Centre, Postbac, Educational Computing Centre, Deans Suite, Offices, Student Facilities, Research Labs, Lab Support, Specialist Labs, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Architects from Studio LIME have spent time in both Abu Dhabi at the University and in Dubai with the Project Architects RSP. The project is due for completion in 2014.

Description: Yeovil College has been allocated funding from the Skills Funding Agency (Further Education College Condition Fund) in support of a project to relocate the Construction Skills Centre currently located at Lufton Way to the main campus site at Mudford Road. The project requires the construction of a new Construction Skills Centre on the main campus. Relocating the Construction Skills Centre to the main campus site at Mudford Road will allow construction students to enjoy the benefits of College life, such as: Access to learning resources, access to social areas and gastronomic facilities, access to learning support and the opportunity to meet and socialise with students of other departments. This project is due for completion in December 2014.

Description: We have been working with both Airbus and artist Luke Jerram to produce a landscape design which is now the setting for Luke’s amazing “Aeolus” sculpture at Airbus in Filton.

Description: Studio LIME designed the refurbishment of the Ground Floor of the University of Bristol’s Centre for Sport, Exercise and Health. The refurbishment included a new Dance Studio, a new Weight Training Gym and an expanded Chandos Deli. This project was achieved in a short programme with construction limited to the summer academic break.
