Description:
A reinvention of an existing artist’s studio to create a large portrait studio and flexible living workspace. Designed to be effortlessly reconfigured from studio to dinning space for entertaining guests, a swivel workbench rotates 90 degrees to form a dining table and then a further 180 degrees to enclose the under-stair library for gallery openings and events. Beneath the mezzanine is a cosy library and sitting area with underfloor heating via a concrete floor in new bathroom, kitchen and studio. The extension steel fabricated monocoque is completed by the sae artist workshop that makes sculpture for artist Anish Kapoor.
